So enjoy exploring both shops and the new site and please keep in touch via facebook and twitter  ....and spread the word that the Ruby's are taking their new brand of lovin' ...back to town.

Til next time please also indulge your handmade lovin' passions exploring the Etsy shops of
all the talented BrisStylette's who will be taking part in the next

Lordy me it's BiDM time!

Oh wordy lordy me Chenille it's but a matter of days...yes days to the first BrisStyle Indie Designers Market of the year and here I am only coming out of the handmade ( rather nice silky oak ) wood panelling now!

Where have I been? ( I hear you ask ) With all those promises of Marketeer lists! (I hear you ask again) Well fortunately I have been held captive by my fave obsession BrisStyle and have been over at Bris Central helping to organise the markets as well as write a few blog post on the BrisStyle blog.

In between being whisked away to those cloudy skies to fly the hoards of handmade hunting heroine's to Brisbane for a weekend of fun and frivolity at the BiDM. ( ok some may have been coming for other things but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a few familiar faces at the BiDM !)

So with no further adieu I give you the Marvelous BiDM Marketeers via the BrisStyle Blog - Enjoy!

PS Keep checking the BrisStyle Blog right up until the Markets for the rest of the Marketeers.

See you this Saturday6th March at St Augustine's Chrrch Hall and Grounds Racecourse Rd Hamilton 9am - 2pm

Mugs, Markets , Memories and More.....

Yes indeedy do it's been a long time between drinks but all for good cause!

In a nutshell...or rather a collage.... life has been full of mugs, markets and memories......

MUGS: Working over the Festive season always brings fun and joy into an otherwise crazy time of year. Seeing everyone off to visit their loved ones, packing up their families for holidays' and many still travelling for work over Christmas. It brings everyone together as well that you work with as we're all in the same boat having to be away from our families, so of course there's always going to be some shenanigans afoot!

So to the delight of not only the crew but the passengers at the back of the plane, Sandy (on the right) not only asks if we'd like some REAL loose leaf tea but proceeds to pull out of her work bag that larger than life ceramic teapot!!

We were so excited and so were the German film crew and a couple of old truckers who were on the road ( so to speak) for Christmas and the hot brew, stripey teapot and real ceramics mugs made for a back galley tea party to rival no others!

MARKETS: The BrisStyle Indie Markets "went off" in it's own inimitable style at Christmas full of colour, smiles and a vibe that you just can't bottle! It's something that has stayed with me over Christmas, that vibe, and it's a rarity that you don't find in many large groups let alone market places.

I think it comes down to the care, honesty and respect that the BrisStyle Marketeers not only have for each other but for all the amazing people who come along to shop and hang out for the day. It's the vibe of like minded souls sharing their passion for handmade...as well as a good natter and lot's of laughs.

Thanks BrisStyle and thanks to everyone who came along to make the day another success for the BrisStyle Indie Markets!

MEMORIES: ...and there were some very sweet ones too xox Catching up with the fab gals I went through training school with, taking a few r&r escapades away and soaking up the company of my sister Amanda and her family from Hong Kong. Did you know that "Bakugan" are the guardians of the "Littlest Pet Shops"? Something I learnt from watching Charlie and Will play ever so tolerantly with their lil' sister Gracie.

& MORE: This year I'll be turning my focus to the amazing world of BrisStyle. The Market have gone from strength to stregth and this year sees some very exciting developments indeed.

So as well as continuing with "breathing new life into old treasures" through my Etsy shops I'll be in fulll swing BrisStyle Indie Market ( BiM) mode.

So stay tuned for an inside look this year of all the talented creative souls that make the BIM's come to life....

xh

PS thanks Darren and Daneve for the cool Market Pics xox

The girls from EmBelish will be showcasing a limited edition range of baby and toddler appliquéd “onesies” to compliment their sweet range of brooches, hairclips and softies. They also have fabulous new products for your home that together with their other famous Christmas treats will make the perfect Stocking fillers.

Every kid can be a Superhero with Tutus and Muddy Shoes' fabulous new capes and super kidswear. Together with Knitwish these two labels will set their stall a-jumping with their fun and funky designs

The fabrics that Therese from Little Mary Moo sources for her divine purses and bags are predominantly Australian hand screen printed textiles and are perfect for all ages. Her purses in particular are always in demand, so make sure you stop by before they sell out.

Edward and Lilly's embroidered tissue holders are hand and schoolbag must haves for this season. They come in all of Rebecca’s delightful designs which star on her famous brooches and are a gorgeous compliment to her dreamy range of softies.

The new jewellery pieces from Up in Annie’s Room feature snippets of vintage images and prose that are fun, unique, affordable and handmade with love. Together with the latest range of equally interesting pieces from Mrs Smileys Lockets these two designers will give you your fix for everything whimsical and feminine

Recycling has never looked so good with Ruby 2 Go Go and Ruby Red Studios’ new ranges of vintage and preloved swish. Making their debut will be famous Iconic images brought to life in the form of necklets, rings and bracelets and deciding which one to buy will be a truly Kitsch-22 situation!

Melanie’s store, Kimono Reincarnate, is a little slice of Japan tucked away in Australia. Her shop is a home for items handcrafted from gorgeous vintage Japanese kimono fabrics, all made from textiles she collected whilst living over there. Her delightful pendants use gorgeous fabric from kimonos, preserved in resin and encased in silver-toned frames. Each kimono pendant which Melanie hand makes is one-of-a-kind.

The beauty of dancing figures is explored in Sharlndollz new range of paper dolls. The design is graceful elegance but with a twist - traditional images created in non-traditional papers that come to life inspired by retro fun and babushka dolls.

Lemon Ink’s bright and cheery bags are made from recycled materials including outdoor advertising banners, truck curtains, old seat belts and used bicycle tubing. Every bag is a one of a kind piece that is durable, waterproof and still sleek and stylish perfect for work, sport and play.

The fabulous thing about the gorgeous dresses from Little Diva Designs is that when they get too short for your little girl they can still wear them as funky tops over jeans or leggings - so they'll get plenty of wear through all the seasons. The latest designs feature exotic top quality fabrics from Robyn’s latest trip to Europe and are professionally finished by Robyn with care and skill. Robyn’s range includes limited run pieces for all stylish boys and girls.
